Why am I not surprised? Russian government threatens to block the website that allows the exposure of corrupt kleptocrat oligarch friends of Putin.

Not hard to see why Trump-lovers are also Putin-lovers, given Putin's dishonest, homophobic, fascistic ethno-nationalist ideology. But never fails to startle me that people on the left can delude themselves into believing Russia is a great and benign power standing up to evil America.
Russia has threatened to block access to YouTube and Instagram if the sites do not remove video and photographs that show a senior government official sailing on a yacht with a billionaire oligarch, who has links with the former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.
Russia’s state-controlled media watchdog, Roskomnadzor, on Saturday ordered that 14 Instagram posts and seven YouTube videos be deleted that show metals magnate Oleg Deripaska on a yacht with a Russian deputy prime minister, Sergey Prikhodko, and a woman who has described herself as an escort.

Russia is marching closer to totaltarianism by the day. Not a good sign for the future of russian citizens, or the wider world.
With a President who will not relinquish power and opposition leaders jailed on a whim, I thought it already was!
