Pornography is degrading and dangerous

For those that think porn is great, read the following blog post and either change your mind or explain away the severe contrast in how women and men are treated in it.

Edit: @Ninja Squirrel it's not a link to pornographic site. The site is a blog that is about porn.

I won't click the link but I'll say that pornography is disgusting.
It is watched by many individuals under 18 whether or not the government will admit it.
Also, I do believe that anyone possessing child pornography needs to removed from society (jail for life).
This wasn't the case for a public schooled teenager who had a top corporate lawyer as a parent.

I don't think this link was about child porn. I think it goes without saying that that is awful. This is about how gay porn treats men and about how straight porn treats women. I couldn't look at all the images, and sure enough some of the videos are on the extreme end, but that was the point. The person tried to find violent gay porn on a mainstream site and violent straight. The difference is staggering.

One of the first things that stood out and raised my eyebrows, when I began viewing the landing page of gay pornography, was the sheer amount of 'kissing' in a significant number of thumbnail images.
I had not seen that in straight pornography, I had thought that 'kissing' just didn't happen in porn, yet here it was; but only between males. The other thing I noticed, was tenderness, caressing, touching, hugging and what appeared to be respectful, pleasant, consensual, normal loving sex, that involved complete and equal participation 'Rather than a male instantaneously and aggressively penetrating every orifice of a woman for his own selfish, sexual gratification' that is 'par for the course' in straight porn.
As in my research into straight porn, I also typed in the search bar, terms such as 'abused' 'violent' 'degrading' 'crying' 'torture' 'BDSM' and even 'Femdom'
Whereupon these search terms in straight pornography, led me to thousands of titles pertaining to sexual violence of women, I struggled to find any on pornhub gay. I was actually surprised, because I had heard of rough, dominant sadomasochistic gay pornography. And although I'm sure that it is on the internet, my research is purely based on a mainstream site.
Saying that, the most extreme sexual torture of women is widely available on pornhub.(please see my other blog posts for this evidence)
When the kink takes over.....there is no stopping the lust of such people. They will go to extreme lengths to satisfy their carnal desires, even if it means acting upon things that they wouldn't even conceive of doing initially.

rlly wish I hadn't clicked on the link, the photos are horrific. absolutely horrific.
dangerous?

All I am going to say is it has advantages and disadvantages like most things.
Supply and demand. It's not just for men, either - I've lost count of the amount of girls I've spoken to or done things with that are into either watching or partaking in choking, spanking and general borderline violence in sex. According to Pornhub viewership analytics, rough sex and bondage are popular categories with female viewers, whereas these categories don't feature in the most popular categories viewed by male viewers.

Not surprised @It's****ingWOODY finds an excuse.

Here are some of the things that I have experienced…

having my head shoved into his crotch, and held down while I sucked him off

being told that my gag reflex was too strong, couldn’t I work on it?

bullied into submitting to facials. I didn’t want to. He said (joking?) that he’d ejaculate on my face while I was asleep. He wan’t joking I woke up with him ******* over me.

bullied into trying anal. It hurt so much I begged him to stop. He stopped, then complained that I was being too sensitive and it can’t be *that* bad, he continued to ask for it

having my hair pulled

constant requests for threesomes

constant requests to let him film it

And on every single occasion, I felt guilty for not being a ‘cool girl’. I was letting him down. I was a prude.
THIS IS NOW NORMAL. Every single straight girl I know has had similar experiences. Every. Single. One. Some have experienced far worse. Some have given in, some have resisted, all have felt guilty and awkward for not being “liberated” enough, not giving him what he wants.

The problem is that when kids become normalized to this kind of porn before they have sexual experience, they will believe it to be normal. Even girls. This is not normal. By any means. Are you denying that these kind of videos that portray women in an incredibly degrading manner have no impact? What about the fact that apparently in gay porn there is a lot less violence and much more 'normal' ("tenderness, caressing, touching, hugging and what appeared to be respectful, pleasant, consensual, normal loving sex").

If you were to start choking someone that is assault. It doesn't suddenly not qualify as assault anymore just because you got your **** in the person at the same time. So what you might do consensually with your partners woody, has no bearing on a teen who suddenly grabs the throat of the girl he is shagging, of spitting on her just because he saw it in porn and thinks it's cool. Women are also said to have rape fantasies, but do you think they actually want to be raped? Do you think thus that they just because of watching want it to happen to them outside of a trusting relationship?

The obvious counter to this is that porn is not made for kids to watch it's made for adults who know better to watch.

Not surprised you resort to personal attacks, either

Well, you'd hope that any such fetishes are acted upon with agreement by all parties involved.
Teenagers shouldn't be watching it. Teenagers shouldn't be playing violent video games or watching violent movies. Adult entertainment is fundamentally based on immoral actions, and it's unfortunate that some people can't distinguish what's okay and what's not after viewing such entertainment. We can't abolish all forms of such entertainment because some people aren't wired to use it responsibly and not attempt to copy unacceptable actions. Violence and rape in porn are on the extreme end, and shouldn't be used to judge porn as a whole. Nice of the author of the article you linked to cherry-pic images to suit her agenda, though - I could find you countless images of violence in gay porn with a simple google search.

Oh well. It's easy money for young and pretty women. They're getting paid for their services. They know what they are getting themselves in to, and indeed many (most?) end up damaged and hollow in the long term, but that's their business. And nor is it any of my concern.

You can still try to 'rescue' these fair maidens if you really wish to, but I suspect they will swat you to the side once they see you coming lol.

there's a surprising amount of videos on pornhub [acting] where a male makes sexual advances towards a woman, touching her in inappropriate places, she says NO to him several times, but he just ignores her and keeps on doing it ..... eventually she changes her mind, and they have sex

I find it funny that people are shocked how much "sexual assault" goes on in society when consensual sex online is so frequently portrayed starting off with sexual assault......
Urg. Banning a highly consumed product has never been good socially, or economically. Has the prohibition period or the war on drugs taught you nothing!

I am stating facts about your behavior. If you perceive them as insults, I think it's clear what that means.

But that's the point. More and more girls are experiencing boys simply doing these things. There is no consensual discussion about it. The boys just expect it.

The author does say that she solely used a mainstream (the largest) porn portal. And I looked for some time til I couldn't take it anymore, to find very violent gay porn on it. Apart from '**** torture', which you find in straight porn, too, I didn't find anything.

No, they do not know what they are getting into. It is most certainly not 'easy' money. Many go in already damaged and abused. You callous attitude is pretty disheartening.

sex now as trivial as a handshake.

Handshakes have become far more risky with easy access to porn.

Theres nothing wrong with porn.

There's plenty wrong with it. Google it and learn more about the topic, and don't just have a self-centric view "for me I don't have a problem so no one has a problem".

I see that you are against pornography being produced, but what course of action would you suggest?
