Suicidal, what will happen to me?

Most recently, today an argument with my boyfriend got me really down. My question is, what will happen to me if I explain these thoughts to a doctor? I want to get help, but I'm scared of the circumstances.

Don't be afraid, the doctors are here to help you, however if you don't feel comfortable talking to them then there is other services which might be able to help. For example there will be a designated member of staff at the school known as the safeguarding lead who will be able to tell you what services are available in your area. I can recommend the Samaritans who you can call on 116 123. Based on your tag line am i right in believe you are considering hurting your self I'm going to tell you now, if you feel you are rock bottom then the only way is up. We all have arguments with our partners but sometime you have to focus on the positive aspects in your life. I have people close to me who have considered and very nearly did in one case, in all those cases it seems to have been talking to the professionals whether this be the doctor, school or even the boss at work. Further more health professionals will be able to help you a lot more than people in a chatroom . What is it about the doctor you are afraid of, if you don't mind me asking? I'm not sure how much this helped but please make sure that you go see someone as there is always a positive nomatter how many negatives you think you can see.
If your doctor is concerned that you are a risk to yourself or anyone else, they have the right to break confidentiality rules and inform those close to you i.e parents or guardians. You probably won't be admitted but your GP will refer you to the correct specialists who can assess your situation. They may not prescribe you any medication if it could be used as a method of harming yourself.

Hey, I made this post. I had made a suicide attempt a few nights ago, I can safely say I've never appreciated life more than I do now. I feel normal again...happy! After an argument broke out between me and my mum about the attempt, I quickly realised that I'm not the only one being hurt by suicide. Ofc I knew people around me would be hurt, but I thought I didn't mean much to them and they'd move on... and very fast. I quickly found out that my actions really affect the people I love. My partner has never been happier to hear me say "I want to be alive". There is always something to live for, if you cant see it yet, look harder.

I'm glad you're feeling a lot better, even if it did take you going to a very dark place before you realised it. I always try to focus on the little things - life may not be going in the right direction all of the time but it's remembering the smallest things that keeps you going.
