[SPORT RELIEF GOLDEN THREAD] Tunes to get you moving

For me, there is nothing like blasting a bit of Drake or Biggie to get me pumped for the gym and a bit Rihanna or JHUS never fails get me dancing like an idiot in my room. Having said that, I am looking for some new additions to my playlist.

Any suggestions?

I'm personally someone who prefers listening to soundtracks when at the gym/exercising, or something instrumental.

A personal favourite of mine is Lindsey Stirling; it was rather difficult to pick between her songs, but I chose Take Flight due to the fact its beat is more repetitive - which is a lot better for keeping co-ordination (such as when running)

But I also have a bit of a mix, with musicals like Hamilton, and movies such as Lord of the Rings and, more recently, the Greatest Showman, making their way into a playlist. It really depends on what mood I'm in at the time as to what I'll pick!

I'm a fan of film soundtracks for background to exercise. Particularly superhero/action films.

The soundtracks to various Marvel films, Kingsman, Inception, and Nolan's Batman trilogy got me through the Great North Run and Berlin marathon last year.

The Lord of the Rings soundtrack is also particularly epic when skiing...

But Two Steps From Hell have hours of music that gets the heart racing and blood pumping, ideal ear fodder.

Yas this. If I accidentally let this come on when I'm walking to uni I'm immediately compelled to go at 2x the pace and it's very inconvenient.
