Nearly lost his footing running in a straight line.
12 league goals so far. 12. This is your number 9 lol. We don't event want to bring up that top 6 record.

We've been performing badly for months. Its not just 1 bad result. Mourinho stans have convinced themselves he's doing an excellent job because "we're still second".

For reference in the same amount of appearances Ibra got 17 goals. Lukaku will probably go on a streak and get his 20 goals.

His problem is that he doesn't offer much other than his goals really. He's improving in his link up but its still trash no two ways about it.

I don't get this "Lukaku hasn't scored against the top 6" so that makes him a crap striker, like have you even been watching him.

-Against City he had that 1 golden chance saved (it was a world class save from Ederson, it wasn't an easy chance with the ball coming in at that pace)

-Against Arsenal he didn't score but was directly involved in most of the goals during build up play.

-Against Spurs he had 1 golden opportunity, Lloris saved it.

-Against Chelsea he practically had no service all game because of the way we set up at SB.

-Against Liverpool didn't score but again involved in build up play which led to Mkhitaryan getting that golden chance he missed.

Clearly it's the way Mourinho is setting us up against the top 6 that is hindering some of his ability to score in those games and lack of team dynamica. You fools think Kane would score as many goals at United with our poverty fullbacks and lack of service? Think again.

Remove all of Lukaku's assists then you have Lingard and Martial on much less goals this season, yet people want to say Martial and Lingard have both had good seasons. Lukaku scores but he also makes his teammates around him better, that's how important he is. So for you idiots who say "why doesn't Mourinho touch his golden boy" that's why. You're a fool if you cannot see what he does in the build up play and how he creates space for people like Sanchez, Martial, Lingard...seriously.

You really think we will score as much goals with a front 3 of Sanchez, Lingard and Martial? Think again. We saw what happened when we lost Lukaku for those 2 games...

Sanchez loses the ball more than any other player in the league....Lingard gets bullied of the ball, Martial lacks that spacial intelligence/decision making that you have with Sanchez not to mention ZERO aerial threat.

Only Kane and Aguero (ignore Salah caz he ain't a striker) are ahead of Lukaku and they both play for teams where they receive so much more service because they actually have decent fullbacks and decent midfields....whereas WE DON'T.

Hook it to my veins.

Lukaku's build up is ****. Kane/Giroud is the standard for good hold up play.
Why is Lukaku the only striker in the world who needs to service to perform? What happened to strikers who created chances for themselves?

Everton away was arguably our best performance this season and that was with Martial up top. Link up play between him, Lingard and Pogba was some of our best football.

Unfortunately Lukaku's getting the Ibra treatment.

Kane chances created this season so far: 26

Lukaku chances created this season: 25

You were saying?

Edit: Lets not forget Kane takes penalties that aren't his sometimes as well.

And how many converted?

Decent midfields. Lol you use Mata RW when pep would probably play him in central midfield or no.10 e.g. and you decide to use Scott Mctominay ahead of Herrera who in another side would be a good creative player but got turned into a DM.

Sure Kane has converted more chances but that wasn't your argument. You said what happened to strikers who create chances for themselves and I've just shown you that Lukaku is just 1 behind Kane in a team that's still lacking a proper midfield and proper attacking fullbacks...

Kane is a more finished article than Lukaku at this moment in time of course but when our team dynamic gets better Lukaku will also get better. I haven't really seen anything to suggest that Lukaku doesn't have the ability to reach Kane type levels, I reckon he can if he improves the little things like his touch/hold up play. Compared to when he was at Everton his hold up play is much much better at United which is a good sign.

I would like to see Lukaku add more long range shots to his game (like when he wanted to take free-kicks it's a good sign and he should keep practising). Anyway let's see how Kane does in the world cup.

I agree with the streak thing. Even last season he had 18 league goals at this stage. However he did score 4 goals in game 24 which skews it slightly. Take out that one game and he’s pretty much in the same position now as he was last season.

Also, having looked at his record, he really is Romelu ‘Stat-Padder’ Lukaku.

As for his linkup play, it’s been decent against the *****ier teams but otherwise he’s not done much else. Not close to Giroud.
When @S.G. just wanted to come and add Giroud to the conversation for bants

He's right about Mata. In his last full season at Chelsea he scored 16 and assisted 20. We had Torres as our striker. United have messed up not playing him as a 10.

I'm not even the one who mentioned Giroud in the first place, it was Rk. Giroud is better than Lukaku at linkup play.

Tfw your statement is completely destroyed.

Imagine even thinking Morata was a replacement for Diego Costa.

Some people will make you believe he's currently on course to achieve Diego's numbers..

Basic deflection skills. Doesn't address points but goes on a tangent talking about other teams.

Could never be me.
