How to make my personal statement stand out? (Veterinary Nursing)

I have heard that veterinary nursing is quite a competitive course. What volunteering could I do/work that would make my application stand out?

Relate it to work experience if possible? A personal story that really motivated you to do vet nursing.
What makes each applicant unique is that they have a genuine reason for wanting to study something. Don’t make big bold statements like “ive always been fascinated by...” because you probably havent actually been always fascinated by vet nursing when you were say 3 years old. Just don’t use cliched sentences basically.
