Well you want to take x -> 3x -> 3x + 2. What is this in terms of g and h?

[it's hard to give a hint here without writing down the answer]

Notice that x3x+2x \mapsto 3x+2 is very similar to g:xx+2g : x \mapsto x+2, except the input is 3x3x rather than xx. Precisely, h(x)=3xh(x)=3x therefore the function f:x3x+2f : x \mapsto 3x+2 is...?

Compose the functions and add a constant.

Edit: might have read this wrong and you have to do it for each function.

Take rdks advice.

Yes I was in terms of g and h. So technically it’s trial and error? Also thanks for answering.

I don’t see any trial and error

So then this will be gh? Sorry this topic confuses me

Indeed it will be! The function is gh(x)=3x+2gh(x) = 3x+2
