If you didn't study in Lycee Henri IV or Louis le Grand, you don't stand a chance for Uk unis.
Joke, you should be ok with your grades

We have an expert of French secondary education, but honestly I was scared to see that . It's just one minute after I saw it was a joke :u:

I would cut one hand just to live or study in Paris.
Why UK?

In which case Glasgow will be fussy as EU places are capped. Imperial is competitive anyway.
If you are on target for Bristol's requirements an offer is likely.

Also why did you apply to 2 courses at both Glasgow and Imperial? It's a bit of a waste of 2 choices...

Edit: so just re-checking your OP against the universities requirements:
Original post by medizzerparis
1. MEng Aeronautics Engineering - Imperial
2. MEng Mechanics Engineering - Imperial
3. BEng Aerospace Engineering - Glasgow
4. BEng Mechanics Engineering - Glasgow
5. BEng Aerospace Engineering - Bristol

[required subjects highlighted]
Mathmatics : 14.5
Physics : 13.5

Imperial asks for 15-17 in relevant subjects (I'd expect a 17 to be reqired for Aero or Mech Engineering)
https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/ug/apply/requirements/ugacademic/
Glasgow asks for 15 in required subjects
https://www.gla.ac.uk/media/media_245718_en.pdf
Bristol asks for 13 to 17 in required subjects (more likely to be 16+ for Aero)
https://www.bristol.ac.uk/international/countries/france.html

Unfortunately your Maths and Physics are on the lower side so I'd say your application may not be competitive as it stands. :frown:

Glasgow usually makes very high conditional offers to EU students if they dont do A Levels so it is very likely they will ask for the same grade or even higher than Imperial
u are going to be underage for the whole of the first year??

I applied to both universities because I want to study Aeronautics Engineering

So why apply to Mechanical also? That's the waste.

And see my edit to that post please - it's important.

Don't worry I just saw it 😊
I said before my secondary school is one of the most selective of the county, so for example a 14 here is better than a 15.5 in an other school. My recommandation letters prove my school is harder than the average, and I think Imperial will take care of this, if not the uni will not ask for this 😙

You can work in Aeronautics when you've graduated from Mechanics course. So I also applied for because I would improve my chances to get UK universities.

Why not go to a grande ecole? UK unis are expensive and the UK is sort of in disarray, with Brexit and even university strikes! a mess for a developed country, we dont even have lectures this week, possibly delays in summer exams.. but further those are really difficult uni choices... maybe a safety school would have been advisable.. if the UK is your dream i would spread the risk if it comes to reapplying. Generally you take 3 top schools and 2 safer schools.

It doesn't work like that.

You can work in Aeronautics when you've graduated from Mechanics course. So I also applied for because I would improve my chances to get UK universities.

It doesn't improve your chances if you don't meet the requirements for either course. It would improve your chances to get into a UK university if you had applied for Aero at 2 further universities with lower requirements.

UK unis > FR grandes écoles
London > Paris

Why ?? In UK ( Imperial for example ), you study Aeronautics and Technical subjects from the 1st year. In France, you must study 2 years of Math ( not applied to engineering, just math ), Physics ( also not applied to engineering ), French literacy ( so unuseful ), philosophy ( less useful than French ) and English ( courses are not applicable to live and to study fully in English environment ). After these 2 years, you can apply to engineering schools where you'll also study "humanities".

I prefer anglo-saxon system where YOU choose your own steps

Ahh thanks for that insight into the french system🇫🇷. doesnt sound very fun, even though you specialise in your subject here they do throw in some filler courses to push each specific unis agenda though lol. At least they do at mine. But its enjoyable i like it  but go to a lower ranked uni then your aspirations :/

Just to add, if you do unfortunately get 5 rejections then you still have UCAS Extra as an option now, and also Clearing later in August.

Hey,
French student in the UK here, with loads of friends at imperial.
Not trying to make you feel bad in anyway, but with these marks you stand no chance for imperial. My best friend does Aero there and had to achieve 18 overall including 17 in both maths and physics.
Bristol is really selective as well, usually students having more than 16 overall and 16 for all scientific subjects which is not your case.
You show on the other had be fine for Glasgow as they really want to improve their exposure to international students.
Best of luck and feel free to PM anytime, More than happy to respond to any of you questions.
Bonne chance et tiens moi au courant de tes offres, si tu veux en discuter/poser des questions a des gens d'imperial demande moi directement.
