Hell yea! I love having my standard of living lowered due to a vote I couldn't even partake in

OP is not British but wants to rule Britain with an iron fist. He comes from the European elite who sneers at those below them. I bet even if the UK had remained, the majority of "experts" would still have predicted the same economic doom and gloom that they directly attribute to Brexit. Just for "thinking" about splitting from the EU. People generally don't react positively to blackmail unless they've been brought up to think that it's normal (a familiar concept with those who lived in the communist era)

British people are always going on about the War when they talk about Brexit.

They obviously want War conditions such as less food, less fuel, conflict with other countries and trying to get the Empire back.

Some brexiters are retired or have plenty of money so they think they don't have to care if the economy goes down the pan because they don't have to get a job or try to make ends meet.
The headline sums up Brexit succinctly. Made worse by the dysfunction of the Tories.

Labour are also split over Brexit, why else would they not directly bring this up in PMQs

Like most important things, Britain does not have any plans and will muddle through brexit and after.

No. Where do you get that from?

Just because I am clearly more intelligent, more educated, and more successful than you, you consider me an 'elite'? I sure do sneer at ignorant Brexiteers like you though who can't make a single point and desperately need to resort to making up lies about me. Pathetic.

Before the referendum you were ahead of France and forecast to overtake Germany. Let that sink in. Wouldn't you lot have loved that? Now you'll just be poor, stuck in recession, the laughing stock of Europe.

i stopped bothering with this guy.

Doesnt even live in the UK but acts like he knows better than all, and shows all this hate on a studentforum based in the UK, which is ironic since a lot of students actually voted remain, and the TSR has like mostly under 18s who didnt even get to vote.

Hear, hear! I think most Brexit voters were aware of the potential economic consequences of leaving; to say otherwise would be undermining their intelligence. There is a sense of pride that can only be described as British that guided the vote, with us being the first electorate to stand up against the centralisation of the EU. The two biggest issues were immigration, which people have been ignored on inside the EU, and parliamentary sovereignty, impossible to possess when trapped in the European Court of Justice. We may be worse off, but to think the costs cannot almost be outweighed by trade deals, economic policy and simply having an optimistic outlook is unfair. It really is a game of perceptions and trade will easily remain close to current levels if we sell a final deal well. It's also important to note that we are still predicted to grow, just by a lower amount. The people that are overly bothered about that are not the ones who supported Brexit and are presenting an idiot caricature of those who supported it. The OP is suffering from the same hubris and ignorance of normal people that caused this process in the first place, and it's hilarious.

Which of them exited the EU? How many of them are propped up/were rescued by the EU? Exactly. Which of them was the fastest-growing nation in Europe before deciding that being an EU member was a bad thing, and are now the SLOWEST growing nation of all industrial nations? Exactly.

It's funny that OP can't see that his own behaviour is causing anti-establishment sentiment.

I dont think the UK is seeking Norweagen or Swiss deals is it?

Just pointing out being in Europe but out of the EU isn't so bad.

The Channel Islands do ok - could the UK have their deal?

It is, in its desperate attempt to avoid complete irrelevance on the world stage after Brexit. Too bad that won't work - and it's not even desirable, just read what Norway's Prime Minister said.

And I am pointing out (well, I proved) that the UK's case is not even remotely comparable to either of those smaller (partly oil-rich) countries...

... and definitely not to some microscopic tax havens. Are you out of your mind, comparing a developed, complex economy like the mainland's to Jersey? Or have you just given up and are fine with Britain turning into a full-on banana republic?

Furthermore, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man are on the EU's 'grey list', likely to be named and shamed (and sanctioned) as tax havens - why would the EU grant the UK the same 'deal'?

Pretty sure the UK has more oil reserves than Switzerland....

Wow, so the UK is irrelavent yet also a complex developed economy? Contradictory much.

Grey list? Bet you can't link me to that list.

No. A complex, developed economy can still be a dwindling minnow on the world stage. Logic fail much?
