French house music has a lot of one hit wonders. Stardust, modjo, supermen lovers

house dj's arent one hit wonders, they live off club gigs and touring, not videos and views and charts. Hence why thy're called House, because their pay and popularity is by "living" at the clubs. Not coming at you btw.

3 of a kind… im embarrassed to say I used to love Baby Cakes lol

Good shout. That was a good tune.

I was thinking about it recently. That was the really successful Garage track I think. Then it all fizzled out and guys who got big making Garage moved away from it (So Solid, Oxide & Neutrino and a few others) and it was dead until Jorja Smith last year. Not sure why you don't see more of it, it's clearly popular enough to chart regularly. I'd expect to see it more in the charts during summer at least.

C4's 'Go Back' was a good recent one.

One hit in terms of most people who know the genre still only being able to be relied upon to necessarily know that song, even if they
actually had other top 40 songs. e.g. I'm not putting Aqua when many people know Barbie Girl, Doctor Jones AND Turn back Time. And I'm not putting Wild Thing - The Troggs because many people know Any Way You Want Me, even if they don't know who sang it.

Like someone else said, some of them brought out more than just the one hit. And more than one of them were well known. Dead or alive, gnarls barkley, tatu and estelle are 4 of them.
