Hey I'm wondering is there any chance of high functioning autistics having a social life at uni as I've been unable to make friends at either primary or secondary school or is there just no ****ing chance of me getting friends there either?

You have to put yourself out there and make an effort. You will meet all kinds of people and join societies.

There are lots of good ways to make friends at uni.
First, bear in mind in freshers week, basically everyone is looking to make friends. This is the week to put yourself out there and try to join in with things if you can. Try to make an effort to socialise with your flat mates- even if it's just eating dinner in the kitchen, and not shutting yourself away all the time.
You'll also meet lots of people through your course, and of course you all have an interest in common. Chat to people before and after lectures if you can to help you to get to know others. "Is this the right place for..." can be a good conversation starter!
You can also try joining societies or sports teams. Big unis tend to have a huge range of societies, so pick something that interests you and you will meet lots of people. Societies also often organise purely social events- so joining an active society can quickly provide you with a social life.
There may also be extra help available to you- such as a mentor, which may help you negotiate the transition to uni, as this can be tricky for some people with autism. Maybe see what is available at unis you've applied to- or if you haven't applied yet, definitely ask about support services at open days.
