Medicine

I want to apply for medicine this year (I’m in year 12) but I achieved a 5 in maths and 6 in English Lang/Lit at GCSE.
Would I reach the requirements for top unis in London like Kings, Queens Mary, Imperial etc....
I'm afraid your 5 in Maths will most likely be a problem as a 6 is generally required :frown:

Have a look on here: https://www.medschools.ac.uk/media/2032/msc-entry-requirements-for-uk-medical-schools.pdf

It's using the old system, but I'd assume that any currently requiring a B will require a 6 next year

Most uni's require a 6 minimum. I'd recommend a retake.

bear in mind medicine is ridiculously competitive and successful applicants for top unis for medicine usually have all A*/A at gcse as well as a level
