Im not offended by anything, i just feel its the literally the most cringe worthy video for university propoganda ever, so impersonal and the sun is shining out of my ass, i went to the best university i could have and i take pride in that and i know this is the best university i could have went to lmao.

Well if the best thing he can say about it is "it ranks very high in all the league tables" then that's concerning. League tables aren't cement. What if Warwick gets pushed outside the top 10 next year?

I did go to private foundation which cost £20,000 a year lol..buy in to british education 🇬🇧 lol

Its good business! Look at how much masters degrees cost at 'leading' British universities. No-one British does them. Why didn't you just go to a normal place with a student loan?

I can assure you that Oxbridge are not the only unis that attract "posh" people out there..

Really? I see plenty. Some are really good specialist courses or the development of a deep passion. Every time I advertise for staff I interview British people with masters degrees in 'International Business' from some 'highly respected' London University competing for admin positions against those who left school at 16. They seemed to have spent a lot of money to avoid doing lower level qualifications which would help employability (but also don't give prizes for showing up).

Ahh, that's why you said leading universities. You're one of those people who never went to university and have a chip on your shoulder.

I did go to university. I don't have a masters degree which was pretty foolish of me as the company I worked for when I looked into it would have paid for a part time course and the next company would probably also have supported it. They were far cheaper at that time relative to disposable earnings so self funding for full time wasn't out of the question.

I stressed respected universities to show its not particularly lower ranked universities or less prestigious courses where graduates struggle to get into good employment.

Fair enough. You seemed to be suggesting that they weren't particularly leading.

I am not sure how the claim that you see many British applicants with master's coexists with your previous claim that British students don't do master's degrees at leading universities. The complexity of your statement made me think you must have an agenda.

Badly expressed perhaps. I see very expensive masters degrees in areas like finance and business (and worst of all accountancy - where no-one will be impressed) - check how much Warwick and the likes of LSE and UCL charge. People I've met studying them are all from other countries and seem pretty disappointed by the lack of British students on their courses.

I think British students go for cheaper courses or study part time when working. I see plenty of CV's which state (University of London) but don't mention which college which seems a bit strange.

Yeah, the UoL is a common strategy where you went to a crap UoL college! It always is annoying.

Though sometimes this perception does not always work because old-timers might put UoL for UCL or LSE, just to be pedantic.

I needed to something to extend my US highschool diploma, and i came from Germany i wasnt really aware of the british system and didnt know if i qualified, this program made it easy and seemed the potential to get you in a decent uni if you worked hard, However, i only paid £10,000 since i had actually applied intially to do my foundation with the same company in Holland, however they didnt want me as a student (the unis) because i would have paid very low EU fees there.


However, as soon as i graduate from Nottingham im going to the University of Amsterdam or Erasmus University Rotterdam to get my masters in the Netherlands for that nice price of 2.000 euros im not paying for a British masters.

I think it would even add a bit of sparkle to my CV having degrees from multiple countries.
I am American however i study at Nottingham which is QS ranked 84th globally

Durham finds itself ranked 74th

Duke University finds itself ranked at 21th

By the QS a british university ranking.

Further it has a much lower offer rate something like 16% acceptance.

Its far more selective....and considered the ivy of the south.

***ua Business school, Duke hospital is one of the best in the world for heart surgeries.

Its not biased its reality, Durham is not in the golden triangle.

Not in the vein of LSE, Oxford, Cambridge, UCL

its move closer to forming a cluster with a nice second tier Russell group

Durham, Warwick and Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester.

Get real.
