Is it bad I show no emotions when someone is ill/ or dies?

Our neighbour (grandma- also our family relative) is seriously ill- she's currently in hospital. We know them quite well as they're kinda family. We don't know if she will survive as she is quite old and weak.

My mum is kinda distraught, but I'm not that sad (I dont know if its cos I'm a guy or something). It got me thinking if I would cry if my actual grandparents passed.

I'd definitely be sad/heart broken for sure, I dont know if I'd cry tho.

Are any guys/girls like me? Or am I flat-out weird lol

No, I don't give much away in these situations either.
Cool. Yeah sociopath... I had to force myself to cry when I was 8 when everyone was crying whilst my mum went on Holiday, yeah.. Sociopath at its best :crown:

its a coping mechanism, a very strong one. id sooner feel like I didn't care than be sad tbh, it takes a toll on my mental health if I get too sad about it. its your brain saying, "everythings okay, don't worry about it"

I'm more likely to get weepy at a TV programme about dogs than I am about family dying. Just how it is.
Not at all, i can't remember crying in my lifetime, although i know i have.
