Google nofap. Fapping has been holding you back in every aspect of your life to an astonishing degree. 1 week without fapping you feel amazing and full of energy but have UNBELIEVABLE urges. 2 weeks you lose all sex drive and feel low energy. 3 weeks you are back to feeling amazing again and your sex drive comes back. 4 weeks you start to feel like a god and become far-far more attractive to women. You start getting second looks. By 90 days you will have changed your personality completely. The urges never stop, they just become less.

Not everyone experiences nofap like this. This is just the average.

this is a genuine question ok

does masturbating interfere with progress in terms of revision for a level exams. e.g if i fap twice a day but revise can i still get a*s.

some people told me that if i fap i get brain fog and become dumber or less motivated so i shouldnt fap coming up to exams. it feels amazing and relaxes me but a levels are more important to me so idk wat to do pls help me. thank u.

Apart from sexual pleasure, fapping relives stress so the opposite should be done during exams. Happy fapping mate

People won't believe excessive porn/masturbation can hold you back until doctors start realizing it really does cause a problem. In the 1950s smoking was considered healthy and people would dismiss side effects. Sheeps!

I mean it’s quite normal at this age to do it tbh... I won’t comment on my own habits but I doubt you can concretely show it makes a difference. Do what you like I guess... it’s possible to multitask 😉

One month clean and your life will change forever.
It’s only human to masturbate. 2 a day is normal. I wouldn’t stop just because of exams because your body would detect a change in routine and you even might be worse off. So beat yo meat dawg😂
everyone here is wrong, the right answer is simply different strokes for different folks (literally), peoples bodies and brains react differently, two of my mates couldn't revise until they had masterbated (not sure why I know that)... while doing it or not doing it didn't really effect me either way.
How can you get A*s but believe fapping gives you brain fog

The idea that masturbation causes loss of essential fluids and leads to numerous illnesses, including problems with memory, headaches, gout etc comes from research published in..

Tissot's L'Onanisme to be precise. It was crap then and it's crap now.

Hey, genuinely I really have no idea whether flapping is going to affect your grades or not but I believe that if you do things one at a time then things could work out for you. But if you find it hard to focus and really want to flap that bad then just get over with it and get back to studying with a fresh mind. My ex used to be a genius nerd of my school and he flapped watching porn often but when he studied for his A levels he completely focused on his exams which fetched him 5 As. So no, if you think flapping will make you go wrong then that's not what I believe. All you have to do is be completely focused while studying without thinking of anything else than getting straight A*s. Even if you're a sex addict! (Doesnt mean I'm referring you as one tho)

It is not crap going a month fap-free and feeling better than you ever have in your entire life. Give it a go, there is no reason not to. (you will get withdrawal symptoms 2 weeks in but they only last a few days). If you fap daily and have depression or any insecurity, there is no doubt that masturbation is the leading cause of it.

Plus; the reason why it is so bad is that your brain releases more dopamine than any drug can give you (It is also a stronger addiction than any drug). That level of dopamine weakens your dopamine receptors in your brain and so will lessen your motivation and you will derive less joy from other aspects of your life. Also, porn-induced erectile dysfunction is a thing, and if you fap you definitely have some form of it.

What will you do?
Sadly, I don't have the power to close this thread, but while people are posting rubbish, it's not going to stay unchallenged.

It's hard to argue with people with this level of deliberate ignorance. This. Simply. Is. Not. True.

(Oh, I tend to feel best after plenty of good sex, regardless of how many people were involved in it.)

Those .gifs saying a kitten dies if you masturbate are made up, and so is this. There is literally no form of human sexuality more widely practised than masturbation: why aren't all men impotent?

If it was an addiction, then stopping would cause serious physical effects. You don't just go 'cold turkey' with a recreational heroin habit or stop drinking over the recommended limits of alcohol without the effects shown in things like Trainspotting. It takes some serious drugs to reduce the symptoms of withdrawal from things that are genuinely addictive. Even the nofap-ers don't claim that it's physically hard to do.

Invariably, the people at the source of this come with a basic viewpoint that sex is for people in heterosexual marriages, preferably for reproduction, and nothing else. I can't be bothered to check if anyone's pointed to Carnes - a founder of the 'sex addiction' movement that's the basis of nofap - but his basic tests for 'are you addicted?' would include everyone who's not straight, everyone who's kinky, everyone who likes casual sex, everyone who doesn't tell a partner every detail of all their sexual fantasies, everyone who's seen porn etc etc. You either end up declaring that virtually everyone is sex addicted or that it's a load of crap.

Even caffeine fits the addiction model and at one point it was being seriously considered to add caffeine addiction as a 'substance related disorder'. But given how many people it would catch and the fact that the effects are basically harmless, it was realised that it would be silly to do so.

Same here. People who have more partner sex also masturbate more, see more porn, and generally think about sex more.
