Newcastle vs Exeter

Newcastle resident here.

Newcastle does have a great night life, living costs for students are one of the best in the UK, and there is so much to do in the city centre alone and it's nearby areas (cinemas, theatre royal, dog and cat cafes, many great bars/clubs, Baltic, Metro Centre etc. Unfortunately, im not too sure about netball. Newcastle also offer great bursaries depending on your income/grades. Have you attended post applicant days for both unis? I found them extremely helpful. See what Exter can offer you (academically/socially/financially) and contrast it with Newcastle.

Which Exeter campus is it for? The two people I knew who were based on the Cornwall campus really enjoyed it (and one was doing Geography in fact). My experiences in the engineering department at the main campus were considerably more mixed, but Geography is one of the better departments at the main campus so, your mileage may vary. I believe the course is slightly more physically/environmentally oriented at both campuses, although I don't think it's to a great extent. You might in general want to look at the course content available, and maybe the specific research done by the departments, as this is often indicative of optional module choices and dissertation titles available.
