impulse, momentum and coefficient of restitution further maths question help

I need help with this question i only need part (ii) but i attached part (i) as well.

i dont know what to do, i feel like ive made a silly mistake somewhere but i just dont know where ive gone wrong.

You've worked out the velocity of B following the 1100 Ns impulse, incorrectly.

The initial velocity of B was 20 m/s, and it suffers a retarding impulse due to the string, so how can it now be 25.5 m/s ?

Have another think/go.
