read the question very carefully especially the case studies.underline or highlight the keywords in the case study and question. i don't know which board ur doing but for me in paper 2 heavy analysis and application is required. basically u answer the question linking back to your case study so if the case study about selling cars , and the question is what are the suitable types of marketing strategies?answer the question and link it back to the case study. that pretty much covers all the application if uv linked back and the analysis is where you write about the benefits and drawbacks ect.. i think knowledge is if u know ur word meanings so ya

I am doing Cambridge. oh what about Paper 1. Could you also type a perfect answer for this question

CGM makes high quality shoes using job production. The production method makes use of specialisation. CGM operates in a niche market. CGM managers know that all business activity 2 creates external costs, so they always try to act in ways that protect the environment. The Operations Director wants to increase profit. CGM could either buy cheaper raw materials or introduce new technology into the production process. The new technology would cost $30 000 and could reduce the number of employees from 30 to 26.

Do you think CGM should introduce new technology into the production process? Justify your answer. (6 marks)

Thank you for your help.

The benefits and drawbacks to CGM introducing new technology into the production process are many.Should CGM introduce new technology it would reduce the number of employees meaning that wages and fringe benefit costs are cut down increasing the profit.however CGM should consider the fact that they may not have the finance to buy the technology as it costs $30000 , should they decide to buy the technology it would mean bank loans would need to be taken increasing their liability and decreasing they profits.on the other hand introducing new technology would mean that consistent shoes will be created and the chance of mistakes are almost none. CGM should consider that once employees are not needed they would need to be laid off, and this may encourage other employees to leave because of demotivation over the lack of workers and the possibility of lower wages as CGM needs to get funds for the payment of the technology. The fact that CGM is environmental friendly should be a worry as the technology to be bought might have negative effects on the environment and in the niche group they in , problems could be created by pressure groups and sales will decrease. I think that CGM should not introduce the new technology and should rather buy cheaper raw materials not meaning that the quality is bad. The reason being is that with cheaper raw materials the quality once again is not always bad in fact CGM could cut deals with their suppliers for discounts. Introducing new technology mean that CGM is opening the business to financial as well as ethical problems that could be avoided by
buying the cheaper raw materials to increase the profit.

ok iv done the answer for this and i hope it will guide you or help you with what you need , please excuse any spelling or sentence structure errors. also are doing your igcse in may?
