Wow. Which courses do you offer via route B? I didn’t think any universities were still using route B.

Hello

No, route B no longer exists. Route B was an old method of applying for art and design courses in a sequential manner, instead of listing up to five choices on the UCAS application. Although route B is no longer around, some universities (including Teesside) still use the 24 March ‘on-time’ deadline date for some art and design courses. The process is the same as for anyone else applying through UCAS, with the only difference being that the 24 March ‘on-time’ deadline allows students more time to prepare portfolios and prepare for interviews.

Hope that clarifies our message.

Thanks,
TU

Brilliant thank you

Will these courses all be closed after the deadline?

Applications received after 24 March will be considered as late’* but can continue being submitted until 30 June.

From 1 July, students would need to contact us about places being available through Clearing.

*useful information on 'late' apps here (thanks TSR)

Thanks

Why not explicitly mention the 24 March deadline on your course web pages? There's no info about it at all as far as I can see...

Teesside University doesn't state application deadlines on its website (we don't state the 24 March deadline or the 'standard' 15 January deadline). Every course page has an 'apply online through UCAS' button to the right hand side of the course information - clicking through this link takes applicants through to the required information. We find that this works well for our applicants. Thanks for the feedback.
