Trig Proof

I'm doing Further Maths on the first year of the new spec from Edexcel so I think this is probably C4 from the old one? Either way I've been given this 8 mark proof and have no idea where to start! It follows on from a chapter with all the addition and double angle formulae.

I just did it u don’t need any addition formulae or anything but I did it in radians if you’ve come across that yet?

Split the logo into upper and lower hemisphere.

Find the area of the upper circle sector and subtract the area of the triangles (find the lengths of the dimensions using Pythagoras and trigonometry)

Multiply it by 2 cos there are two shaded areas (top bottom)
