Adjustment after unconditional?

Is it possible to go through ucas adjustment if you’ve firmed an unconditional offer? It says you can according to this poster but I’m not sure how correct this is: https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/ask/answer/2131/can-i-apply-for-adjustment-if-i-choose-my-unconditional-as-my-first-choice-

That advice is logically inconsistent in that there are no conditions to exceed. The link to which that poster refers doesn't work.

No. You cannot use UCAS Adjustmernt if you accept an unconditional offer. The reason is that you have no conditions which you can meet and exceed - a necessary condition of using the service.

Incorrect advice. You cannot use adjustment if you are Unconditional firm before July.

You can go elsewhere if your firm choice agree to allow you to enter clearing. This can take time.
You simply ask the uni to release you into clearing if this was the case, not sure about adjustment.

Simply is not really a word I'd associate with the use of clearing for those who have offers they are trying to get out of. The university may delay doing so through being too busy with candidates that do want a place there, leaving you to fret while all the good places still available get snapped up by others.

Yes. UCAS isn't an auction site.

Well, to be pedantic, you will have ended up with offers all of which you have turned down at some stage or other.

If you are contemplating the acceptance of an unconditional-if-firm offer I recommend you think very carefully before succumbing to the temptation of doing so. The benefits of accepting one are almost entirely on the side of the university making the offer, and a scandal is undoubtedly brewing over them.
thanks for the answers guys

As is said above - UCAS Adjustment is for when you exceed your offer. As you’ve got an unconditional, you cannot exceed the requirements of that. Whatever you get, EEE or A*A*A you meet it.
