Help with English Lit exam (AQA GCSE 9-1):

Hi all,

To but it bluntly, I have no idea how to revise for the English Lit Exam this year. I have re-read all the texts (I'm doing Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and Lord Of The Flies),but now I don't know where to start hardcore revision.

For example, how do I start making notes for Romeo and Juliet. Shall I do an act at a time, and mind-map key characters and themes?

Cheers in advance

Make essay plans for all the main characters and themes (remember the key point and key quotes) and you will be fine in the exam
For example lord of the flies make an essay plan on Jack eg
Point 1/ personality in the beginning (too big for his boots quite bossy) KEY QOUTE
point 2/ how he treats others and his dominating personality KEY QOUTE maybe relating to Ralph
Point 3/ could be blended in with point 1 about how he is described so his eyes and hair colour
Point 4/ his character evolving throughout the book and his eventual downfall at the end

Hope that helps
