Is this dumb of me? ....

I was recently thinking about university and what i was looking for out of it, and well of course number 1 was a degree otherwise why would i go into thousands of pounds into debt right?

(I'm a male 18 years old) Then i thought im quite a sociable person when you get to know me and love house parties especially the ones when i get people to dance with me when it comes to afrobeats and r&b etc. (i love dancing when drunk or tipsy).

Is it wrong of me to put the social life of a uni as one of the main factors in choosing the best uni for me? I also want to get a degree at a reputable uni so when my employers look at my CV they can be persuaded a bit if you get what i mean.

So i made a list of uni's i want to apply to and so far:
Loughborough
Brunel
Kingston
Notti Trent
Northumbria
De Montford

The first 2 are high reputable and looked upon by companies in the sector i would like to work in which is Industrial/Product design which is what my degree will be.

P.S i do expect to be quite sexually active and get drunk and do drugs when i do go to uni. I already do all this minus the sex part, im still a virgin and its just no ones tickles my fancy for me to get into a relationship with and dont want to lose my virginity to any random person but most likely will at uni.

That's a lot of time effort and money to get some action and get drunk. You may as well stay home, get a job and have money to spend on having fun. Your degree and employability should be key and if you have those down and still want to go to those unis then go for it. Uni will very much be what you put into it.

Why is it so much effort and money?

My goal on a night out wouldnt be to pull a girl and have sex with her. I always make sure im enjoying myself first by doing things i find fun e.g. dancing and socialising.

Besides i get drunk easily :/ i dont need a lot to get drunk which is a bonus in a way

Erm uni costs up to £9000 per year without living or any other expenses and you actually have to work to get a degree. If having fun is all you want to do do that for a few years and then go to uni if you need/want to.

You got it all wrong. The main reason i want to go to uni is to get a degree of course, i wouldnt be putting myself in debt to 'have fun'. But im just asking whether its right or wrong to invest myself in a uni for social reasons as well as for the degree.

Cos frankly i dont want to go to a dead uni.

You can get drunk, do drugs, and pull birds at ANY university. I guess the main difference is whether you want to be in a big city, small town or middle of nowhere. Other than that, social life is not down to the university, it's down to you.

Uni comes first
Remember you are going to be in debt around 9,250 pounds
Don't waste the opportunity and pay 9,250 for no reason
You can party all you want when you get your job later

so is it better to go to a uni in a big city becsuse the night life is better and there are more things to do during the day too?

Because i presume in the middle of nowhere would mean having to travel quite a lot just for the littlest bit of entertainment?

Decide what's most important to you. A big city will always have more nightlife than a rural town. But are you there for a degree or a social life? Do you really want to spend 3 years tired, hungover and broke because you were out until 4am each day?

Consider social life too, or you'll be bored out of your mind for the next few years.

Is this what you're experiencing?

i dont think tou understand that the degree will be my number one priority, im not going to uni just for the fun of it even though ive heard people say that.

All im trying to put across that even though my degree will be the main priority im also a social person and should that affect my uni choice?

It would be foolish of me to go waste 3 years just to get drunk and do drugs when i can do the same if i just stay at home and work a minimum wage job
