Blacklisted for fraud need help

I’m only 17 years old i had 2 accounts 1 with metro bank where i done AC on, 1 with Santander. Metro shut down my account because of the AC and my Santander ended up being closed couple weeks later (this all happened in October 2017 only 16 then). I ended up getting a job at McDonald’s but they had to pay with a cheque because I wasn’t able to get another account I’ve tried halifax, lloyds, Nationwide and natwest they have all rejected me for there basic accounts. how can i fix this so I’m able to get a bank account.

What is AC?

You wont get a high street account as you obviously have a CIFAS marker and are blacklisted. It will show up on any account you try and use. It lasts for 6 years.

You can see most dont like cifas.

That is fraud.

Why would legally changing your name be considered fraud? And if it’s the only way to fix his mistake then so be it.

Because the change of name is an attempt to evade the law and deceive the authorities.

“evade the law and deceive the authorities” come off it mate, the OP is a child that made a simple mistake by becoming a money mule when he wasn’t fully aware of the illegality or the consequences, you’re acting as if he’s a human trafficker trying to evade Interpol.

OP look up something called a ‘deed poll’ and change the name on your passport or provisional license and get your life back on track. I was in the same position as you so I’m not just talking out of my arse.

Not how the banks will see it. Seventeen is old enough to take responsibility for your actions. Changing your name in an attempt to deceive the authorities ( by not informing them) is a fraud and just as bad or worse than the original offence.
Even the Deed Poll office says so.

Going by Deed Poll, it looks as though there might be a bit of a loophole... It says everyone who holds a record of your details. If the OP isn't with a bank, technically there's no reasonable expectation that a bank will have their details, and thus there is no bank to notify.

Not that I'd condone it though... The OP would be better off going with a smaller bank that may accept those with CIFAS markers on, and then after the marker has gone they can either switch to another account, open another account, or just stay with the bank they find.
What banks would accept me then because i really need one or is there a way i can get “unblacklisted” i know that’s not a word but you get what i mean, many thanks guys (only 17 and my 18th is next year)

you youngers need to stop getting yourself involved in this sorts of stuff. What was it, squares? Or did you just let them launder drug money smh.

I dont know what you can do. Once you turn 18 you'll be able to get any bank account you like so maybe the rules change or something.

No, it would be even harder to open an account once you turn 18 as they run credit checks which will make it even more complicated.

Young people can be gullible when they see the prospect of easy money is the reason why ‘AC’ is such a big problem.

In london slang people will call any sort of fraud "AC" or "419" but usually its something else like fraud involving Square where they literally hack the bank logs

ah right thanks, he's screwed then lmao.
