War photographer

Is it right for war photographers to take photos of people who need help, but do nothing to help the person in need
I think it's not right!

They are there to do a job, which is to record in imaged what is going on and that can have more influence.
How do you know they can help?
How do you know they don't help?
Which war zones have you been helping out in?

A war photographer is no more able to help the people he photographs than you are able to help the homeless guys you pass in the street every day, they're one person with one salary. You could also argue they help indirectly by bringing the issues they document to light in a way that's more likely to evoke a reaction than words alone can.
