Is optometry a degree that's worth it.
I just wish to know if the salary or job itself is good for me to pursue at university. I'm stuck between medicine and optometry but I have 2 issues with optometry:
1) I'm not sure if the pay is good as it's between 35-42k a year but I'm not sure if that's a good salary or not.
2)My father made a good point that 'Not a lot of people go to optometrists' and so the job will be stale and such.
Are these true? Thank you.

So are you actually intersted in optometry?
Yes, the eye is an interesting part of the body that I loved studying at GCSE and even read further into it previously out of the specification. But I also love the idea of being a doctor/GP.
