To be honest anything can come up! Just check the kind of questions that have been asked previously in the full A Level! It will kind of give you an idea on what hasn’t been asked. But make sure you revise everything to be on the safe side.

Surely parentocracy doesn't allow for education to be equal for all as the middle class' benefit from this most?

My teacher found that many of the other students had said PARENTOCRACY and other answers such as Meritocracy and having A-Levels and BTEC to allow all types of people to have an education.

probs either experiments, questionnaires or interviews as they haven't come up or even documents. Im 100% sure stats wont come up as that was in the education paper plus its already come up in 2016 if comes up which i highly doubt ill just waffle somehow
The question wasnt how it made the education system equal it was how it made it fair.Parentocacy allows parents to have a choice although this is a myth you can still write it as a bullet point.

It was easy except the 10 mark questions on Post modernists. What about you?
Prefered paper 1 although paper 2 was still good

Anyone else struggle with 10 marker? Mention individualism thesis but that's about it tbh

Research methods

1) Outline 2 disadvantages with using questionnaires with close ended questions (4)

2) Evaluate the disadvantaged of qualitative methods in sociological research. (16)

I did families and households

1) What is primary socialisation? (2)

2) Outline one way in which childhood can be negative for a child in the UK (2)

3) Outline 3 reasons for the decline in death rate since the 1900s (6)

4) Outline 2 reasons postmodernist would give to explain changing family patterns (10)

5) Evaluate the different views sociologists have on the impact of government policies and laws on the role of the family. (20)
The paper was good but still preferred paper 1. The 10 marker and the 20 marker could’ve gone better I suppose.

That's what I thought hence why I was extremely surprised he said that. I think he said that based on what other candidates from other classes put, I can't exactly the remeber the reason for the put it either.

With this question, I talked about Cheal and Giddens and they talked about how freedom of choice allows for more family Diversity. Same also with Giddens who talked about the equality of men and women and how they can define their own relationships and can simply end relationships at the will of each other to form. New relationships.

I'm absolutely bricking it for the as sociology 2018 exam and was hoping if someone could give me a distinct topic to revise on for paper 1 and paper 2. It would be highly appreciated.
