was question 6 the one with the squares?

i found the paper so hard how did anyone else find it

it wasnt bad at all. Worst case scenario, i lose 15 marks.

Considering last years grade boundary for a level 9 was 189, if I lose 15 marks in each paper ill still get a 9 hopefully.

inversly proorional k =24
x=12 y=2
x=3 y=8

For the question to find the solutions without expanding brackets I got:

-7/3 and -11/3

Thats what I got. It said in terms of pie but i wasnt sure if it was simplifyable.

It was multiplied by 9 so you got that - (x+3)^2 = 4/9
Square root of that was x + 3 = +-2/3
so x = to 2/3 - 3 (-7/3) and -2/3 - 3 (-11/3)

what was the answer to the rectangles perimeter 15cm question.. i got 25

That was the hardest paper I have ever done, it was nothing like last years. Nothing I revised came up and I swear the only topics were ratio and proportion, fractions and some algebra. I’m so disappointed I’ve lost the will to live honestly, just praying for the grade boundaries now
