Was 1b to 2dp or 3?

as long as you didn't do too few it's fine, even if you give 50 decimal palces they always allow it even if the question says 2 (as long as your answer rounds to xx.xx (2 decimal places)

so what answer is correct?

7176 is fine

Does anyone know if you get marked down for using maths from other modules? Because on one of the questions I used C3 differentiation to differentiate the equation of a circle including both x and y values? Whereas in C2 we’re only supposed to know how to differentiate one variable eg x?

No you don't, maths is universal they can't expect you to learn one thing on C3 and then ask you to forget about it for C2. On the mark schemes there's always alrernative methods i've seen reverse chain rule on C2 even

b) k=1.5
3) proof
b) a+b=21
c) b=31 a=-10
d) 24x^2 - 34x + 31
4) Area = 8.75
b) Flag area=20.02

d) x+7y-2=0
6) a=19000
b) U5=12465.9
c) S12=7176
7) y=625.056 (isn't there supposed to be a decimal point here?)
a) proof
b) x=1/3
8) x=248.6 , 331.4 (degrees)
ii) theta= 0.258 , 2.89 , 3.48 , 5.94

(isn't there supposed to be a decimal point for question 7 a??)

Best I can do is some worked solutions - at the moment uploading them isn't working. Will get them up as soon as I can.

FINALLY managed to get it to upload! See attached for worked solutions

How do you know, they were 67/75 for an A in 2006 and around that time (2005, 2007) they were usually lower than what they are now (62-65), and this year only year 13 done it.

And an M1 paper recently (one of the last few years, i dont rememeber) was like 70/75 or 71/75 for an A (not A*) so it is possible for them to make the A boundary around 67 or 68 marks for this exam.

the highest they will go will be probably around 60-63, it wont be 67-68 and if it is i would be really surprised lol.
Wow, I actually did decent. MAN LIKE ME

Ah **** how many marks was the question and how many will I get?

You won't lose any. If you arrived at the correct answer with an A2 method you will get all the marks. I have asked several teachers who are examiners and they have confirmed this. If an examiner is unsure about your working (e.g. if you were only partially right using an A2 method) your script will be sent off for review and you will most likely score a mark or two.

Pretty sure theyll be higher than 63 as this years exam was a lot easier than last years. Previously papers used to be around 66/67 when they were easier so it is possible.

Will I lose a mark if I wrote for question 3D) (x+1) (24x^2 -34x + 31) because I included the (x+1) when it only asked for the quadratic factor? It was 2 mark question.
Can't be certain but I'm pretty sure the mark scheme would tell the examiner to ignore the other factor

Hopefully I can get away with that one, everyone mark counts😅.
Yeah, 100%. Grade boundaries will probably be very high, because everyone was resitting and the paper was generally very easy!

Yh true but the highest I've seen for C2 was 67 so probs it would be like 68/69 maybe

i did that as well lol, I think you're meant to include (x+1), not sure.
Quadratic factor the way I understood it is that they just dont want us to factorise the 24x^2-34x+31 (or maybe you can't) so they want the (x+1)(quadratic) forminstead of (x+1)(24x+..)(x+..)

Aaah shoot, I missed two of them off. Will update now...
