Exam thread for breadth history paper
Any predictions?
Reckon it's going to be heavy on society & the Federal Republic
(edited 5 years ago)
Which bit is the Federal Republic? I haven’t revised at all 😫
Haha, I totally get you with that one atm as I've only just today touched society :s The Federal Republic is the last section with Adenauer. Also just found out you pronounce Weimer as a 'veimer' xD

Was wondering if anyonr could tell me what the time period was for the Aristocratic elites maintaining dominance question? Some people have said it was 1890 and others 1900 and now im really unsure. Can anyone remember?

Was 1871-90 ;-) The 1900 one was the 3rd question (2nd essay question) where it asked to compare the strength of the economy of 1900 Germany to 1929. Hope this clears things up some ^_^

Oops yep, you're right, just remembered 1871-1900. I started off with Bismarck, 1871-90: tariff law '79 for conservatives, Pan-German League, Junker class, anti-socialist laws to protect elite wealth, 3 stage voting system, growing socialist vote etc, THEN juxtaposed it with 1890-1900: Caprivi's New Course; denial of subversion, union bill, strike action, Weltpolitik, army budget & Schlieffen Plan etc.

Omg, how uncanny... YES I DO. Literally have no idea with this one... thinking probably Major & Wilson with emphasis on Foreign Policy. Swear to God if Srebrenica comes up, I'm done xD

Ah okay! I don’t even know what that last bit is! I seem to get really stressed out with exams, do you have any tips on how to stay calm?

Haha, neither do I, which is why I said it! xD I think it's virtually impossible to force yourself consciously not to stress. Yet I listen to audios called 'subliminals' on Youtube to force my subconscious mind into relaxing which in turn controls the conscious mind. This video works wonders for stress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbHvN1YR2Zk. The more you use it, the less stressed you'll become ;-) If you're struggling with fear, I made this subliminal myself which wipes out all anxiety in 2 hours: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agBnv37UkVc
