OCR H156/02 Depth Unofficial

Paper 2: Unofficial
1(a) sum of thinking +braking distance. Total distance car travels before it comes to rest.
(b)16.94ms^-1
(c) 2.7*10^7
Part 2. Deceleration =0.46ms^-2
Part 3. 8.7*10^4N
(ii) distance decreases bc more work done against gravity on an incline
2(a) 0.0, 1.0 and 1.8cm
(b) drawing LOBF
(c)1.9Ncm^-1
(d) 54Nm^-1
(e) Hookes law obeyed bc force is proportional to the extension and graph goes through origin
3(a) Diameter measurement using vernier callipers or micrometer and repeats
(ii) 7.5*10^-3kg
(iii) 3.99*10^-3 N
(b) dropping ball bearing through tube containing viscous fluid. Use consecutive rubber bands to mark distance. Time taken for ball to reach terminal velocity etc
gradient k=v/r^2. Mention safety
(4) 15 ohms
(ii) 8.9m
(iii) doesn't obey ohms law
(b) £11.2
(c) 0.71V
(ii) as temp increases, resistance decreases so current increases. Total resistance decreases and voltage dropped across 1.1k Ohm resistor indreases. V=IR so voltmeter reading increases
(5) definitions
(b) constructive interference when path difference is even number of wavelengths at P. Destructive when there's an odd number of half wavelengths hence the dark line at Q
(ii) 0.53*10^-6m
2. 1.4%
(c) 1.3*10^17
6. Stationary wave stores energy. Progressive transfers energy
(b) use v=f lambda
Speed of sound experiment e.g tuning fork

are these the proper answers? quite a few of mine were different...
Qu4b is actually £39.10 and 5bii)2) Is 4.5% (I have the mark scheme) Everything else is pretty much spot on.

Hey, what were the two 6 markers? thanks

Hey, what were the two 6 markers? thanks

First 6 marker:

"A student wishes to investigate how the terminal velocity v of a metal sphere varies with the radius r of the sphere as it travels through a liquid.

It is suggested that

v=Kr^2

Where k is a constant.

Describe with the aid of a suitable diagram how an experiment can be safely conducted, and how the data can be analysed to determine K."

If you are using the new OCR Physics AS book go to pg 87 for the experiment.

For the second part of the question you need to say: plot a graph of velocity against radius squared. Draw a line of best fit and the gradient is equal to K.

For safety you can say use a clamp to hold the tube in place.

I don't think you can get these papers yet. Need to have the teachers code
Can you take a Picture of each paper of mark scheme and send it to my instagram: darav_tv Many thanks
