Please help me pick a History topic

Hi guys. I need to do 3000 words for a history assignment discussing and comparing two different perspectives. I can choose any topic I want but I'm struggling, for an example someone in my class did the Salem Witches trial.

Any ideas? It's quite broad
Different perspectives of a war from 2 different countries? E.g. British and Argentine perspectives to the Falklands conflict, and possession of the islands?

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind, sounds like the kind of thing I need. Was hoping I could avoid doing something war related though
dropping that atom bombs on Japan....

i) Good idea.... stopped the war quickly

ii) Bad idea... lots of dead people

:holmes:
UK Exporting Opium to China https://www.britannica.com/topic/opium-trade

ii) Bad Idea.... war on drugs ?

the roaring twenties could be an interesting historical period of studies

One perspective is that the economic growth, the jazz age was born, the new women movement, the lost generation.
The other perspective is that people lived in a pure Illusion of material age, lived like there was no tomorrow which leads them in the period of the Great Depression.

Alongside this, the roaring twenties was an illusion since they thought the war is over forever, but the WWII followed soon after.

I did the 1920s USA for GCSE History coursework, this is actually a perfect topic for comparing different perspectives. You could also mention the increased intolerance in that period.

I recommend Chamberlain and appeasement and whether he did the right thing. I did it for my A Level coursework last year and it was easy to find interpretations.
