causes and treatments of infertility in males

what do y'all think could be the major problems for male infertility around the globe? And what are the major treatments... If you guys could provide some credible data or resources, it would be great! Thanks a lot for your valued opinions and support!

Just wanted to respond to this old thread of yours. Lol. I’m so bored so figured I’d give you something “frosty” to wake up to.
Anyway, to summarize my answers, I think the biggest contributor to male infertility is just getting kicked in the nuts 🥜 over and over again. Another (and this is a theory), could be the larger (and growing) population of beta-type males that are able to find a female interested in them. So many “betas” out there, everywhere, world-wide. Could their own lack of “maleness” have an adverse psychological effect on them that causes their feminism to sprout? Could the spreading negativity associated with the concept of male-dominance be contributing to men not wanting to act like or look like actual men, then that belief run so deep that they now believe they’re not men on a cellular level? Could these beliefs inhibit testosterone production? Could they increase estrogen, estradiol, FSH, LH, etc etc? It’s proven that your mind absolutely DOES influence hormonal regulation and release, so... would it be possible to “think” your way into having lower testosterone, and would decreased testosterone limit sperm production? Could ones Vas Deferens or epididymus shrivel up and cause more pronounced feminine features to present themselves..?

Awww...thanks a ton! resuscitated almost dead thread by random late night thought! The possibility of it happening was 0.01% but hehe real frosty for morn.
Woah! The second hypothesis is a mind blowing one! And the correlation between hormones and character could be an almost valid one, could sense a vibe of good potential too...but then it would be subjective and biased if there isn't evidence..But gosh if this hypothesis is proven I can't imagine how feminism would further evolve though....
The first hypothesis is a bit unclear...do you mean to say that increased rate of coition is proportional to male infertility?
All in all...love your original viewpoints! A mind blowing hypothesis is enough to fuel up an experiment ...me thinks!

That's a great one Mr Jack M.F. Frost)

An official good morning to you, straight from “The America’s” lol. Or Émeríca, as it’s known. Anyway, it’s still late here, almost 1. I’m getting sleepy but I’m so glad you responded to this! Yes, the first hypothesis involves the ceasing of spermatogenesis due to blunt force trauma to the testes, usually the source being a boot, shoe, even a casual flick of the wrist/back of the hand. A “sack tap” , if you will. Lol. The latter theory is something I just made up but now that I think about it, it’s possible... right?? Lol. If your hpta involves your hypothalamus and pituitary glands in your brain, and your thoughts trigger hormonal release, and the release of those hormones (or lack thereof) has a measurable effect on your testosterone/estrogen ratio and production, then it’s probably true that your thoughts and actions could actually influence your phenotype over time.. your actions.. your desires...thus creating an impact on the overall fertility rates of males on a global scale. Their sexual orientation could be subjective, or their actions, but their hormonal fluctuations could absolutely be measured... Then their hormone levels could be tested against their sperm count and their psych evaluations/logs could be added into the experiment report to show volatility at different times. If there’s a correlation, then you might be into something. Once again, just pulling things out of thin air luvv. But, now I have myself curious..
...
..ohhh it’s getting cold in here...

I can PM you a link to a book where you can read all about men’s sexual health and fertility problems to your hearts desire if you want .
I doubt getting kicked in the nuts is a major cause of male infertility worldwide.
I doubt masturbation causes infertility.Thats just a myth made by the Church to discourage people from masturbation.Masturbation actually has major health benefits.

Listen bro, many people disagree when I say this. The cause is pornography. We have people watching it and masturbating literally over 2 times a day for 5 to 7 days. Is that normal? My treatment for that is quit porn and quit masturbating as it's a sin for one and it won't help you interact with people as u view them as an object for pleasure. https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/erectile-dysfunction-question

Who said that masturbation causes infertility in men? A swift kick to the boys might do the trick, though, if kicked hard enough.. Trust me dude!
But you’re right, it’s an individual experience and won’t cause a worldwide infertility outbreak.. but what about the feminization of men in our contemporary world? Do you think that as men become more feminine, the rates of infertility will rise (according to my theory)?

The person who commented above you implied that via pornography.
Not sure what you mean by feminisation of men,but I do know there is huge worry about the effect of endocrine disrupters in the environment on male fertility,as male sperm count in the West has plunged by about 60 percent. Not to mention other factors such as diet, stress, possible pesticide, some medication etc.Very complex issue.

Test levels have plunged by 60% in the West? Yeahhhh, I’d believe it, albeit there’s absolutely no way that’s a valid statement. You definitely can’t measure that, in that vast of a population, even remotely accurately. But you have a point that external factors DO negatively influence testosterone levels.

Good mornin' to you too! Aww...thanks for still responding...

The first theory is true! Lol "sack tap" . A new mystique key word!
https://www.malefertility.md/male-infertility/male-infertility-faqs

The second also has the evidence  with regards to hpta , there's Kallman syndrome where hypothalamus declines release of gnrh at proper time . This could be due to 2 reasons and the best part s one of the reasons is still unknown! IHH or Idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism! There is scope for the second hypothesis to be tested in this category! Sadly, people haven't made correlation between thoughts & actions and phenotype...as they might be still under the impression human mind can't be measured scientifically and there would be probably privaccy/information consent issues...bah hambug! But yes, as you've mentioned hormonal changes can be measured.
When there is an interesting  hypothesis as this occurs...(despite you having pulled out of thin air) I feel bad not contributing something :/ :hmpf:

Really grateful for your contribution sir!
Ofcourse the views are only subjective so I suppose we're free have our thoughts...
Would one of those health benefits include increase in effect of spermatogenesis? Just curious about your opinion.

No you cannot measure that. You also cannot measure things accurately such as how many people live on the planet ,how many people have a certain disease, how many supporters of a party there are etc.
But there are techniques and estimations to do this to get a roughly good value.
As long as the appropriate variables are controlled for ,I think the conclusions are valid.I think what you mean to say is whether the statement is accurate (the numerical value of the drop).
Not sure how much you know about epidemiology or statistical techniques scientists use in general ,or the basics of applying findings from a sample to the general population.
,but it’s not impossible:yes: .
You could always you know, read the paper if you wanna find out how they got this value, you know:smile:?

I am not sure.Mayo clinic seems to say masturbation doesn’t affect spermatogenesis .

Ha!!! Oh reallly???? Oh so you’re backing that statement?! Ok, great! This just got interesting. No, something of that magnitude absolutely CANNOT be closely measured whatsoever and I don’t care how “close” you think it is, it’s not. At all. I swear to you I stand by that. The control factors in place cannot be widespread enough to contribute to an exaggerative remark like that one. Sorry champ, not fuggin buying it. Fck your theory and your null hypothesis!

Grateful for thine input!
Gosh..the amount of evidence for this view is quite strong! It's also logical in a way: there's always negative feedback to over-stimulation indeed! No wonder why it's sinful...

Why do you believe something of that magnitude cannot be measured?
Can you give your reasons why and what problems you have with how the researchers attempted to measure it ?
Sodo you agree there has been a fall in male fertility or not ?
Do you think the drop is not as steep as 60 percent ,or is it just you object to there being a value at all ?
Just curious :beard: .

Your “treatment” huh? Ok, are you a Doctor now?? You treating people? You’re qualified to do that? Giving diagnostic tests and prognoses? I “porn it up” from time to time and it’s all good. I’ve definitely been there 3-4 times a day, though it’s taxing... but I’ve been there! And it’s fine! The kicker: I’m going to be an actual Doctor. Go sit down.
