2 year Bachelor degree, What course do I need to do for International level Masters

Hi everyone, after searching and spending ages on google still I am confused what course/degree do I need to do Masters.

Actually, I've done just 2 years of Bachelor from Pakistani open university.

I've completed a few courses, would it help me to apply for masters?

2 years Diploma in Arabic language and literature in Um al-qurra university Makkah.
Advance Diploma of wedding and event planning from the UK institute.
Diploma in Interior design from Newyork Institute.
Diploma of professional photography from NewYork institute.

I always wanted to do Masters, it's my dream, but not everyone got lucky on this. Circumstances didn't let me complete my dream. I still want to do from a reputed international university.

I know they offer a foundation course for bachelor degree but what if someone already has done bachelor? Don't they offer any course so that after completing I can apply for masters? I know I need to do some kind of diploma for a year or two to apply for masters.

I am interested in graphic design and web developing, SEO, SEM, marketing, advertising related computer etc.

Do you know of any online courses so that after that I can take admission in Masters from any International University?
The post-graduate diploma also want B.A (Hons) degree, which I don't have!
Or Do I need to retake bachelors? :frown:
I hope people will guide me accurately, I am waiting for your replies, please share links too if u know any course.
Thank u so much. Good day.

Traditionally, you’d need a completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant topic to then take on a masters.

But, your best bet is contacting the universities you’re interested in, explain your current academic background and ask if they’d consider you as a candidate. No harm in asking!

i'm afraid that you will have to hold a full Bachelors degree before you would be considered for any reputable European University for a Masters. The only realistic alternative is several years of equivalent professional experience, probably 5-10 years.

I know this is Cambridge, but many UK universities who take large numbers of overseas students will have equivalent pages to show how equivalent qualifications work https://www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk/international-qualifications
Unless you've got enough relevant work experience you're not getting onto a masters course without a bachelors degree (or similar level qualification). Any way you can top-up the 2 years of open university and get the actual degree?

The other 'courses' aren't relevant here. What exactly is the UK Institute? New York Institute?

It was a question to you.

You choose the field - it's your qualification.

The Open University is the UK's leading provider of online courses.

An OU BA is acceptable for a postgraduate masters.

Note that an art/design masters, should you want to progress to that, would also expect a high portfolio standard.

Just tagging @PQ for better advice

For Graphic Design OCA are also recognised https://www.oca.ac.uk/creative-arts-degrees/ba-hons-graphic-design-degree/ (it's linked to/validated by UCA https://www.uca.ac.uk/open/ )

Depending on your current qualifications you might be able to start in year 2 or year 3 of a degree.

It's not unknown for applicants to enter onto a creative degree without a BA (Hons) - but you'd normally be expected to show an extremely high quality portfolio plus some evidence of academic writing.

Another option to look into would be to take professional marketing qualifications instead of academic ones - https://www.cim.co.uk/qualifications/ You'll normally need to start at the bottom (https://www.cim.co.uk/qualifications/diploma-in-professional-marketing/ might be possible if your current qualifications are considered acceptable) with these but for UK marketing jobs they're very highly respected.

You wouldn't be repeating bachelors. The Pakistan 2 year Bachelors degrees are considered equivalent to 3 A levels (or sometimes the same as first year of a UK Bachelors degree) by most universities http://www.eng.warwick.ac.uk/~neil/qualifications/pakistan.htm

oh thank god. You have shared OCA link which is B.A (hons) if I don't have to repeat it then why? I couldn't find any course there, CIM is looking good but its about marketing. Still, I am gonna enquire from them.

I didn't say you don't have to do a BA (Hons) to do a UK Masters.

I said that a UK BA (Hons) degree is not "repeating" your Pakistan 2 year Bachelors course. The qualification you have is only equivalent to 1 year of a UK BA (Hons) degree at most.

Just because the qualification you have is called a Bachelors doesn't mean that it is the same level as a UK BA (Hons). It isn't.

After days of research, I come to know that for Seo, Sem etc I need to do digital marketing course, and for Masters in Digital Marketing I need a bachelor at least 2,3 subjects coming from marketing and if I don’t meet their qualification requirements I need 2,3 years of work experience. Which I don’t have both!!

Note: I want to do bachelors in Graphic Design and then a Masters in marketing!

I want to know is there any bachelor course which combines both Digital Marketing and graphic design in one degree? It would really help. There is one Masters course from the USA which offers both but I am searching for ONLINE Bachelor. Any help will be much appreciated. Waiting for your valuable suggestions and advises.
