I’m Misslh, I’m starting a school direct primary pgce in September.

Looking forward to getting started but not had much information really, I still don’t know where I will be for placement yet and don’t have a timetable which is frustrating but I’m sure all will become more clear in the next few weeks.

Hi! Just reintroducing self from the last thread! I’m going to be starting my SCITT course on the 3rd September for teaching English at secondary level I’m with the Cheshire East SCITT who are partnered with MMU for the PGCE side of things. I’ve not had much time to think about starting this summer as I’m currently working on my MA Dissertation which is due on my first day of work! So it’s all go at the moment

I'm due to start my PGCE for Design & Tech in September @ Cardiff Met, but all dependent on getting the grade B in maths. Just wondered, did anyone else have this issue? Getting a bit panicy and can't seem to find anything anywhere!!

I had an email from my university yesterday about online enrollment which also included links to the timetable. Hopefully you will hear something soon, especially about the school you are in for placement! If you are starting there in a few weeks you need to know!

Sounds like you are going to be busy busy up until you start your course, unlike some of the rest of us!

I’ve been a ta for the last 5 years so like you I’m hoping that helps a bit.

Wow year 6, good luck with that. I bet it will be great once you get going with them, how long is your first placement?

I like the way my alliance does ours, we go to one school until Easter next year and do a placement in infants and juniors in that one school and then on to a different school for our last placement where I think we may get to specify which age group we work with.

I got my instructions for online enrollment today and my provisional timetable. I would guess most unis will send something out in the next week, so you'll have your timetable soon.

The idea of starting placement is definitely a bit scary!

I pre registered online with the university a couple of days ago so that side of things is sorted. Have my official registration there at the beginning of September.

My MA is in English literature specifically Victorian lit haha yeah I'm cutting it close to the deadline but it's coming together. Very thankful to be back at home where I get tea brought to me!

Is anyone else coming straight out of uni into teacher training? I am slightly nervous to start teaching at a young age

I got an email from UWE earlier today saying the timetable will be ready on the 3rd Sept, when we officially register, and lectures etc don't start until the 10th, so a bit of time to prepare.

Bought and borrowed loads of books but really don't know what we need to focus on yet. Can't wait to get started!
