Why are UK cities so crap compared to american cities

which American cities have you lived in?

I've been to New york and that's all but UK cities like Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool really can't compare to Los angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago etc In my opinion only London and Manchester are the only good cities in the UK.

i didn't like New York. did you not notice the piles and piles of garbage bags on every street corner? plus too may tourists. plus the subway is surprisingly limited.

don't be fooled by Vegas. it's literally a sh*t town. only glamorous place is the strip.

i'm Canadian and even as a kid i knew i would never ever want to live in America. i don't like the politics and this was before Trump (obvs). i don't like the healthcare system, don't like the education system. Americans don't learn about other countries in school; they know virtually nothing about Canada even though we know everything about them. i'm sure most don't know anything about the UK either. there's a funny youtube video of David Cameron on the tonight show. he tells the story of how some american on the street recognised him from the 'tv show' parliament.

But you gotta admit though, most american cities are widely known and the only widely known cities in the UK is London and Manchester

A city can be perfect and not be recognized world wide.

haha yes sometimes people hear my accent and ask 'American'? word to the wise always assume Canadian first. (not being rude, i have American friends )

The American cities I like are - San Francisco (but same problems as LA with insane hipsters and lunatics in charge), Boston, Minneapolis and Denver.
