Do I need to take the IELTS or any other Eng Lang qualification?

Do I need to take IELTS or TOEFL if I got grade C in my Edexcel IGCSE English Language B exam ?

You need to look this up on the website and the course page to see if they will accept it. theres a chance for the IGCSE otherwise it will be Ielts for UKvi.

It is course specific and you havent told us which course.

Im planning to apply for mechanical engineering BEng course. Can you please look it up for me ? I have been searching but for some reason I cant find the requirement for this specific english qualification ie. IGCSE Edexcel English Language B .

Which country are you from?

Is it the 3 year Beng or 4 Year Meng?
You may need to contact them.

Im from Pakistan. Its Beng and I did contacted them via email but 5 days past but no response.

Had some other stuff to but had a look for you.
Although it states the Ielts


English language requirements

IELTS: 6 (min 5.5 in all areas)
Pearson: 51 (51 in all subscores)
BrunELT: 60% (min 55% in all areas)


The country pages are not helpful and it just send you into a loop.

The only way to find out would be to

Ask them direct.

You could try the language centre

Btw you should say the exam board and it is English B and then give them a link to the spec page. They should know what it is and will have come across it before.

Its a definite loop i.e fault in their website.
