Newcastle Uni Accomodation

Hi guys!! I’m *hoping* to go to Newcastle Uni next year, so I’m just planning ahead thinking about accommodation options if I do get in.

I’d prefer an en suite, self-catered room, but have no idea on which accommodations are supposed to be the ‘best’. From the open day tours, the favourite seemed to be Castle Leazes? Can anyone recommend/give me some info on which accommodation is good? Thanks!
Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help :h:

Why do I this?

Hi co0tlin,

We have a lot of different accommodation sites which offer both en-suite and self-catered options.

Castle Leazes is considered one of the most social accommodation blocks as it has its own social space, cafe and bar on site however it is a bit further away from campus than other accommodation blocks (about a twenty minute walk). If you get an en-suite room in Castle Leazes then your bedroom will be within a flat of 7-11 rooms with a kitchen, dining area and lounge with a flat-screen TV.

We also have the brand new Park View Student Village which just opened this September and is very popular.

This accommodation overview provides a good overview of what's on offer and makes it easy to compare each site: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/media/wwwnclacuk/accommodation/files/accomm_overview.pdf

You can also browse all of the accommodations on offer in our brochure here: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/media/wwwnclacuk/accommodation/files/2018_brochure.pdf

Finally, our student blogs can help give a good idea of what life's like living in some of our sites: https://microsites.ncl.ac.uk/oncoursetoncl/category/student-blogs/accommodation/

Hope this helps
