Why do modern historians now feel that Stresemann was not a genius despite his contribution to Germany in the late 1900's?

Stresemann was dead by the late 1900s?. He died in 1929 and did most of his work in the mid to late 1920s

Because his economic contributions didn’t last. He took out loans that would always need repaying and with the fragile state of economies in that day it was a risky decision.
