As long as you are aware that there are more graduates than vacancies in this sector. Simply having a good degree + extracurriculars and work experience is not enough to secure employment.
I'd say if you take the right aero degree then you can have much broader prospects than any mechanical degree. There are a few out there which are mechanical/electrical splits and I've seen many people go into both industries from aero.

But what interests *you*? The main types of engineering are: mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical... which of those areas do you like?
And if you don't yet know then you can consider a course that starts "general" and lets you specialise later, or just do mechanical as that's the most general anyway.
