They are different posts. For example, an architect creates the aesthetic of a building, a civil engineer ensures the building is structurally viable.

One could be considered "artistic", while the other is more "technical", although there are creative and technical aspects in both roles.

Both are important.

What are your favourite subjects at school? Are you "artistic" or "technical", or both? Some good architects may have studied Art, Maths and Physics at A-level (or equivalent)... a combination that would be fine for civil engineering too... :wink:
