Is business in Uni a good course to do and what do you do in it?

Hi @NicoleBoat

I recently completed a Business & ICT degree and it offered me several opportunities! A business course usually covers a wide range of areas you could go into e.g. marketing and entrepreneurship etc. So there's quite a few alleys you could do down with a business degree. If the courses you're looking at include a placement year you'll get valuable experience which you could use in a future career.

Have you been to any university open days? You'll be able to find out more from what the course offers and the content you will study.

Thanks
Ryhan

Hi Nicole,
A course is brilliant as long as it's something that interests you. If you enjoy rising to the challenge and finding creative solutions to problems, thinking on your feet and want to work in a fast-paced environment. It is the course for you.
it's usually designed to give you the opportunity to develop the key business management, leadership and decision making skills needed in a business environment. You’ll have the opportunity to develop the skills to motivate and inspire a team of people to work towards a common goal. There are plenty of theories about business management and you’ll get a thorough grounding in the current thinking from academics, but to succeed you’ll need to understand how that theory works in practice so; University is definitely a good shout
