Vaccines kill and cause autism help

I'm not an anti vaxxer, though I'm sure there are a few on this site and I understand there are arguments for both sides. I recently got into a debate with an anti vaxxer and was bombarded with studies. Please could I have some help going through them all? This is what I've been sent, it's a bit overwhelming: (I hope all these links are allowed?)

There is no science that shows vaccines cause Autism, except in these published studies which show vaccines cause Autism...

I know! It's such an overwhelming amount but if I don't reply with counter evidence then she's won? I should probably just let it go

I don't understand what you mean? I think I'll drop the argument with the anti vaxxer it's not going anywhere

I used to take my grandson to a games group with others who were like me and home educating. As soon as I heard that the majority were anti-vaxers and weren’t having their children vaccinated, we were out of there. Bunch of nutters.

Are any of those papers by Andrew Wakefield?
Reply 7
Alternatively, you could compile literally a thousand papers that argue the opposite. This is just confirmation bias in action.
Uh, the vast majority of these links are opinion pieces or qualitative reviews rather than empirical studies. Most of them aren’t actually directly discussing the relationship between vaccines and autism specifically, rather things that sound like they might be vaguely related. Finally some of the links don’t even have the abstract accessible.

Bombarding someone with endless hyperlinks to bamboozle them into submission isn’t particularly grounds for sensible debate as the amount of information contained within is too vast. It’s a weak debating strategy.

Yes. You won't get anywhere, it's like arguing with a flat-earther.

This technique is known as the Gish Gallop, where you present so many arguments in a short space of time that it's impossible to counter all of them.
Just because there is a study on it doesn't mean it is a good study - you always have to be vigiliant
Thank you for posting 'studies' that I have to pay in order to read them.

I really do appreciate it /s

Not to mention that most of them are reviews and not studies.

It seems that you have provided a court rulling in the US, so I will post one here as well

Ooops, looks like the court sided with HHS because 'they had failed to demonstrate that thimerosal-containing vaccines in combination with the MMR vaccine could cause autism'.

Not to mention that the ruling that you have posted doesn't have anything to do with Autism.

Obviously, thats why I wanted him to give me a couple of links that support the contrary statement, 'since he doesn't believe in the conspiracy argument'.

But since the links he posted were basically copied and pasted from somewhere, (and not those that he claimed to have gathered), he couldn't be bothered to actually gather and give us a list of evidence that quashes the conspiracy argument.

Not much space on a flat earth I would think, hard to get anywhere.
