It's definitely a big step up. Massive even. But it depends how you handle it, getting on top of things early on is key and since you have less subjects usually 4 first year and 3 second year, in a way it is slightly easier to control obviously despite the harder content. Start off early and understand everything you learn when you do.

How did you do it.
I’m currently in yr 11 I have 18 weeks till GCSEs and 8 weeks till mocks
How do I revise efficiently so things stay in my head
BTW I’m also aiming for As so any tips would also help

Did loads of past papers and revised exminer's reports. Use flashcards and revisit the basics if you are unsure, if not look at extension work (can find in back of textbooks usually). Relax and don't stress/overdo it.

Well we had a split of letter and numbers but yes.

Not sure. Medicine takes a lot of work and I'm skimming along other prospects e.g. biomedical, engineering etc.

Thanks! I don't know, one needs to be strategic when applying to universities and I'm not sure I want to take up one of my limited number/ applications at Oxbridge if it is going to be overcompetitive.

Doing loads of past papers and looking at examiner's reports: memorising what they say to do. For English I chose to do the extract question to make life a little easier for myself however, after reading the book/play/script several times you start to sub-conciously learn the most important quotes and if not or all else fails, Quizlet and mindmaps or flashcards are always a good/best bet.

Hardest course I've done tied with Latin. Did not get on well with it whatsoever.

Funnily enough can't relate to any exam board other than edexcel for maths but I'm sure you got to where you got with hard work and dedication and A*s do include 8s technically so there is some breathing room too for anyone using the term - just for clarification. Also, yh how did you do so well in Latin? I heard it's a super hard language, not being a fan of languages in the first place.
