Does this count as cheating>
During the exam you ask the invigilator about a question, if you speak really loudly about your answer like:
'Sir, is my answer of x correct because i added w and y together?'
Would that be considered cheating, even if you speak directly to him/her
Also on the side, surely you can just go to the toilets with your phone, its not like they body search you before the exams or analyse every move you make while your doing it.

Invigilators are not allowed to answer questions about the exams.
Having a phone in your pocket during an exam is enough to get you disqualified from that exam - you don't even need to attempt to use it. Toilets breaks are recorded as is the length of time you stay in the toilet. Don't risk it. .

Considering you're even thinking of these daft ideas of cheating I am assuming revision isn't going so well then...
Invigilators cannot answer your questions. And having a phone on you in the exam hall is considered cheating. If your phone rings or and invigilator finds that you have a phone on you, whether you are using it or not, you will get disqualified. Cheating is not worth it.
During my exams last year, a girl had forgotten to take her phone out of her pocket. I can't remember if the phone went off or if she reached into her pocket and found it but she raised her hand to notify the invigilator. She said that the phone was in her pocket and could the invigilator get it out of her pocket. This was so it would be clear that she hadn't touched it. Although she never used it, she was still disqualified from that exam.

I understand that, but its not like they actcually search you though. And also, just because the invigilators arn't allowed to answer you, doesnt stop you from speaking aloud to them.

Yes i think so. We were told that the exam invigilators cannot help answering any of the exam questions, they are only there to help for other issues such as health and safety.

instead of using a phone, becus thats really risky, in my real computing exam a guy i know hid revision resources in the toilet and went for a toilet break during the exam and i guess u know what happened next...
its actually not uncommon for people to cheat, like writing notes on ur hand
and to answer ur question, the invigilator might note it down in their logbook because ur clearly trying to communicate information which isnt allowed, but i dont think anything will happen

Yeah thanks for the advice lol. But do you know whether there were any invigilators in the toilets, because im assuming it would be pretty hard to use a whole textbook discreetly
A good invigilator would tell you to be quieter after you uttered the first word...I would also point out that even having a phone on your person (even if it was switched off) would be reported to the exam board and would likely result not only in you being disqualified from that one exam, but also risk you being disqualified from ALL your summer exams and for 3 years after the event, you would be blacklisted meaning any other exams (at college or university) you could be disqualified from too.

It's breaking everyone else's concentration and potentially giving your friends the answer so yes it's not allowed.

well not the ones in my school at leasts... it really depends on whether they can be bothered or not tbh
