I am Canadian and recently accepted an offer to the 5 year dentistry program at Universidad Catolica de Valencia. I am wondering if there are any others that will be starting at UCV in September. Also would be nice if anyone currently in the UCV Dentistry program could participate.

Hey,
I want to study dentistry in Valencia as well.
What is your motivation to study at Universidad Catolica de Valencia? I am reading that it costs €14900 per year to study dentistry at this university, while studying dentistry at the University of Valencia costs €2.600 per year.
What is the difference between these two universities and why did you choose to go to an expensive university?
Is this better somehow?
Thanks

I believe the University of Valencia is a public institution that is likely on taught in Spanish. UCV is a private institution with classes taught in English. The clinical years will be in Spanish.

I started with A Star Future. They sent all my documents to GDC who must of sent them to the University. Then GDC sent me an acceptance letter from the University. It was conditional on paying deposit to University and GDC.
After this goes through you be asked to join a closed Facebook page for those who have accepted offers and will be starting in September.

I am from Uk and in the process of applying to study dentistry at Universidad Catolica de Valencia. Do you know if the degree is accepted by General Dental Council in UK?

It is accepted by Spain and therefore EU countries but the UK is unlikely to be a EU country 5 years from now given Brexit.

Thanks. True that we will not know what would be reciprocating arrangements after Brexit would be regarding educational qualification. Just out of interest, how do you know it is accepted in Spain? Did you check with GDC in Spain or any other authorities? Did you visit the Uni and meet any current student before you enrolled?

No, once you pay the deposit to GDC you become part of a private Facebook group of people who have accepted their offer. GDC offers a service to get all first year students accommodation, banking etc.

Of European countries, only Ireland is valid for licensing in Canada. I will be required to do at least 1 extra year in Canada if I return. It's all BS and related to job protection.

Hi, I'm an undergrad in my last year in Canada. To come back, don't u have to either take 3 exams or apply to enroll in a 2 year program?? I'm thinking about schools in Spain for dentistry, but I have no idea which ones are good/recognized by WES
