how do i get better at maths

i've always been better at wordy subjects like english but maths has always been such a struggle for me. why is it so difficult? i work hard and still fail.
i dont watch anime. how can i practice when i dont even understand...
what are the very basics?
i am perfect at scatter graph, trial and improvement, stem and leaf, timestables, addition, subtraction, cumalitive freq.

You could try hiring a private home tutor who could help you grasp the basics and so forth. A lot of students do it and there's absolutely no shame in it! Just make sure you're comfortable with your tutor and they understand the level of patience needed to help you. A good experienced tutor knows that without saying though.
