I was just searching for UK bike race and then I got such a weird news that UK also has this type of weird bike race.

nah, more a US thing

my mate's a copper and threatened, wrongly, to arrest someone if they didn't leave their own home. The lady complained, big review, and nowt happened. Coppers cover their back. It was to be egregiously wrong for a complaint to even be successful, never mind compensation.
