He did this after his friend was raped by a black man.

Some have called to boycott his films. Ok then.....

Credit where credit's due-he must have had some serious balls to go on the record saying this.
So what is your excuse for going after Liam? Do you believe you are better than him. All these moralists. Attacking one man, You are exactly like him. Wandering this forum with a cosh, looking to fight someone
"Weird flex but okay" is all I can say about this.

I think there's merit in having the conversation that he's trying to encourage people to have. A lot of people have got the wrong idea from it, sadly, but such is life.

No one is saying he carried it out. But he admits he armed himself and went out looking to provoke a black person so he could violently attack them.

If someone went out looking for a kid to touch up, but didn't find one and then went home, would that be fine because they never carried it out?

You arent comparing like with like. He was saying he would have waited for someone to come at him. Nobody did and he didnt commit a crime. Maybe if hed been caught he could have been convicted of whatever the carrying an offensive weapon equivalent was.

You also arent acknowledging the fact that the racial aspect is because the original perpetrator was vlack and had he been purple or green then thats what he would have gone for. Limited rationality. He was unwise to boice his thoughts and now people are twisting it to suit them. I dont think he is a racist.

Liam's friend was raped. The attacker happened to be a black guy. Liam was obviously upset, wanted to kill him.
This is a natural reaction with someone care about being hurt, want to hurt the person who commited the crime.
Liam has shared his story. But it is interesting with the people who are trying to shame Liam.

In emotional situations no one thinks clearly. So what would have they done? Would you not be upset, not try protect your loved ones if they are hurt

yes. but finish the story. He said that he went looking to physically and specifically attack any black man he came across. Not a white person! Do you get the picture? It was racism he was describing of himself

Not exactly a defence is it? Again, if someone went out and waited for a kid to come over to them, that obviously wouldn't make it any better.

There's no excuse for the racism whatsoever. It's understandable he was angry and wanted revenge on the person who did it, but arming himself and hoping to kill a random person just because they happened to share the racial characteristic as the other person is about as racist as it gets.

I don't think he is racist now, but not wanting to carry out racist murder anymore is hardly deserving of respect is it?
Isn't he Aslan or is that someone else

Why he thought it would be okay to tell this story to the world makes no sense.

Press junkets so tedious they can throw you into delirium.

He hasnt commited a crime though. thinking about committing one is different from actually committing it no matter how much you like to find him guilty. You have now disingenuously inserted kid into the vocab when no metion of the persons age was made in teh quite I read.

You really havent understood what he said or the context. he hasnt actually done anything wrong because he didnt carry it out. Seems to have triggered a lot of people who wnat to make an issue of it though.
Lets have some honesty, you do gooding liberals want to shank Liam. Leave Liam alone
If he said white, French, Belgian, bald instead of black this would not have made the news.

Attacking one man? he brought up the topic in the first place didn't he? And why don't you talk about the rather racist overtones of what he was planning to do to any random black man who happened to be nearby? Is this not racism? Do you think racism is justifiable then?

Ridiculous argument.

If a person went out, armed with a rope, with the intention of kidnapping a kid but they were unable to find one and went home, would that be okay?

What context justifies wanting to kill an innocent person because of their race?

He didn't say that though did he? He said black. And he admits the reason he said it was because he held racist views about black people.

He admits he wanted to kill someone, anyone, simply for being black.Their race wasn't incidental, it was the motivating factor.

Except he didnt do anything because no one attacked or provoked him, therefore he didnt commit a crime.
If he had gone out and was in the act of attacking someone, but was rugby tackled by a policeman, then that would have been an attempt.
Thats how it works.

Its been explaiend enough times to you now that you are being wilful about it so its pretty pointless explaining to you.
If hed said soem other characteristsic you wouldnt be arguing about it.
If Liam is reading this. Don't log in mate. These mad liberals are going to hang you. Run! They got their blood fired up. You said something they disagree with and now they want fresh meat

Well it does. Because as usual, certain people respond to any clearly racist comment by saying 'if he'd said white/pink/ tall there would be no issue...'

He chose to say black because he wanted to murder a black person for being black because of racist stereotypes he believed.
