Natural Remedies for anxiety and depression

Hello,

Haven't seen this on another post about this, I have just come of anti depressants and am very interested in natural cures and remedies for anxiety and depression. So far I have used with varying levels of sucsess;

Flower essence
CBD oil/gummy bears
Aromatherapy roll ons

Any experiences or ideas would be appreciated.
Sunlight tends to help me a lot, as does lavender scent. Cold air also, weirdly enough, tends to help, especially before bedtime.

I find that writing down your thoughts in an hierarchy depending on how heavy each worry is also helps.
Valerian and purple passionflower are used as herbal remedies for anxiety. It's usually found in herbal sleep aids, but also marketed as anxiety and stress relief. You can get them from brands like Nytol, but supermarkets and shops like Wilko usually do their own cheaper versions.

Though there's mixed reviews on whether they're effective or not.

There is no such thing.

There is no such thing as a cure for anxiety and depression in the form of a substance.

Effective treatment for it is CBT therapy and drugs.

Anxiety occurs because of your thoughts and experiences.
You may not have seen another post on it, but incredibly common viewpoint/question.

Especially in the US fashions for:-
Magnesium
5-HTT
St John's Wort
Lavender tablets.
CBD oil

I totally can tell when I'm not eating enough fresh greens. I buy from local farmer's market once a week, unless raining. Throw into blender with small organic apple and frozen banana. IF I miss a day or two, wow, can I feel it! I get impatient, angry, lethargic. Plus constipated. So back to it. Makes a HUGE difference. Also keeps my weight down.

During colder months I eat grains, rice, beans, potatoes, drink chamomile and shilajit tea (these tell why you should drink these teas -- https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320031.php https://www.healthline.com/health/anxiety/tea-for-anxiety https://www.bustle.com/p/the-best-tea-for-anxiety-according-to-scientists-who-love-a-cuppa-as-much-as-you-do-9044035 https://purblack.com/moomiyo-extract-super-yogis/ ). Warms me up, tastes good and filling. But puts on the pounds. So I gotta eat my greens and some fruit. During summer I eat a lot more greens and am more active.

Really helps!! Cos greens have essential B vitamins which help our emotions. Plus other vitamins and minerals, plus protein. Eat enough fresh, dark leafy greens, other veggies and fruit and you'll feel better! Although I know people who disagree. They are the ones who are obese and depressed and claim fresh greens make them sick. Not gonna go there. To each their own.
